Interactive Mural Concept
Group Project: 5 members
The current environment of the first-floor bathroom fails to reflect the wide range of perspectives and ideas coming from the diverse Stamps community. A bathroom is a space where a plethora of issues revolving around identity come to a head, and we noticed that these issues were not being addressed.
Through a multi-part installation, our goal is to promote interpersonal connections without forcing one-on-one contact in order to respect the privacy of the user.
We are proposing to install an interactive mural to remind students, faculty, and guests of the diverse space they are working in and how they can better support each other. Through music, touch, and visuals, we created an opportunity for creative collaboration while still respecting the privacy that space demands.
